Gloom & Doom #InTimesOfCovid - our war of infinity?

These are unprecedented times. The world has come to a halt. A full stop. And who would have thought.

2020 was almost being celebrated like 2000 had been - not in terms of the Y2K kinda frenzy but like a magical number year. But come 2020, and the world's a different place already. We obviously aren't prepared for something like this. Who would be? And ohhhh there is tension, anxiety, fear, ambiguity and what not around CORONA VIRUS. How will COVID unfold.

Every morning people world over are waking up with just one question in mind - whats the count today. Every call, every interaction is only around the spread of COVID. Whatsapp is buzzing non stop with more morbid articles, more fake news, more disturbing possibilities and conspiracy theories. Its exhausting!

Maybe we will survive COVID, maybe we wont. Maybe Thanos will win eventually, with 50% of our world population projected to be affected by this virus. But one thing I know, we need to be our own AVENGERS and help ourselves in this war of infinity. No one else can.

Simple ways - find your #COVIDSilverLinings. Im trying to find mine as I am locked down.

#1 - Do yoga or some kind of physical exercise every morning. Time it with your friend, your loved one, your work buddy, your dog, anyone, to know you've got company. Its a great motivator.

#2 - Listen to AWESOME music all day. Lift up your spirits. I found this today and i'm loving it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osz5tVY97dQ

#3 - Give COVID a break. Give Whatsapp a break. Practice Social-Media distancing. Even if you don't need it, trust me the world does. For sake of sanity, stay away from social media poison trap.

#4 - Watch mindless stuff - we underestimate the importance of mindless stuff in our lives. Banter. Talk rubbish. Laugh. Energize your brain.

#5 - Day dream - its the BEST ESCAPE from this drudgery. Imagine a holiday with your partner. Imagine your favorite meal at your dream restaurant. Imagine that trip to Lisbon with your friends. Imagine that romantic night with your dream man/ woman - whatever. Let your imagination run wild.

#6 - Cliched, but do something new - for most of us, the new would be house chores though. Now with house helps not coming in. So get up and get moving with that. And if anyone has any better idea of something new, do that too!

#7 - Lots and Lots and Lots of Video calls with loved ones. Nothing feels better than seeing your near and dear ones more often than before, albeit virtually. But that's half not as bad as not making the time to do that in our pre-covid busy life.

Well you get the gist - just don't let gloom and doom slip in. That might do us more harm than this damn Virus would. Beware of that and stock up on your positive energy as you stock up on groceries. Coz unlike the latter, there is only limited supply of  positivity, so go get your share now.

See you on the other side of COVID and with the next edition soon - Love #InTimesOfCovid - cupid playing its tricks in this tricky situation!
